Call for Papers Submission
The editorial team of the newly launched, peer-reviewed journal, Access to Justice in the Middle East (AJME), is pleased to issue its inaugural call for papers. We invite scholars, legal practitioners, researchers, and policymakers to submit original manuscripts that contribute to the critical discourse on justice systems and legal reform.
Published by Academic Insight Press, AJME aims to be the premier scholarly platform for sharing research and fostering discussion on the unique legal landscape of the Middle East, which features a dynamic interplay of civil law, common law, and Islamic legal traditions.
Scope and Topics of InterestIn line with our aims, we welcome submissions of original research articles, case studies, reviews, and commentaries. We are particularly interested in contributions that address the following themes:
· Judicial, Civil, and Criminal Procedure Reforms and their impact on access to justice.
· Transitional Justice in post-conflict and post-authoritarian societies, including legal responses to mass human rights violations, truth-seeking mechanisms, and institutional reforms.
· The Interplay of Legal Traditions, exploring how civil law, common law, and Islamic law interact and shape contemporary judicial practice.
· Specific Procedural Issues, such as the enforcement of foreign judgments, cross-border judicial cooperation, the digitalisation of justice, and procedural safeguards.
· Comparative Studies that offer new perspectives, particularly those that create a dialogue between the legal systems and reform experiences of the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
Special Inaugural Offer: No Publication Fees in 2025To celebrate the launch of AJME and to encourage wide participation from the global research community, our publisher, Academic Insight Press, will fully waive the article processing charge for all manuscripts submitted on or before December 31, 2025.
